Our Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Equation Solver browser extension, the website at equationsolver.cc, and any related paid features (collectively, the "Service"), provided by LLC "Functionsoft" (Ukraine, company number 45258227; "we", "us", or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you are able to form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction and are not prohibited from doing so by applicable law. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Description of the Service

Equation Solver is a browser extension that helps you solve mathematical equations — including algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and related fields — by accepting text, image, or screenshot input and returning step-by-step solutions. Some features rely on third-party AI providers to process your input and generate answers.

3. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not sublicense, resell, or otherwise redistribute the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;
• use automated means to access or scrape the Service beyond normal extension operation;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or network used to deliver the Service;
• use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or infringes the rights of any third party;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

5. Accuracy of Results

The Service uses AI-powered computation to generate answers and explanations. While we aim for accuracy, results are provided for informational and educational purposes only. We make no warranty that any solution is correct or fit for any particular purpose. Always verify important calculations independently.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, and content we create, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Mathematical content and results generated by the Service based on your input belong to you, subject to the terms of any underlying third-party AI provider.

7. Paid Features and Billing

Certain features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which issues invoices and handles applicable taxes on our behalf.

Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel through Paddle's customer portal or by contacting us at billing@codebrix.io. Cancelling stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period.

8. Lifetime Plans

A "lifetime" plan provides access to the relevant paid features for as long as we continue to offer those features as part of the Service. It is not a guarantee of perpetual access if we discontinue the Service or the relevant feature set.

9. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on initial paid plan purchases.

10. Service Changes

We may update, modify, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will try to give reasonable advance notice for material changes that affect paid subscribers.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be achieved.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid for the Service through Paddle in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) EUR 50. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply and are not affected by these Terms. For all other users, these Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Ireland, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as AI computation providers). We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of those services. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or create a legal, security, or reputational risk for us or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, the licence granted in Section 3 ends immediately.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes we will provide reasonable advance notice.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
